Gaming f.e.a.r patch

i am trying to download the f.e.a.r 1.08 patch to see if it will fix a problem i have been having when playing the game were i get to the point just after meeting the cannibal guy for the first time and it exits the game seying its having problems.
anyone had this before and know how to fix it?
but anyway. i have been trying to download the patch and the website all the links send me to are urecognised and it says internet explorer cannot blah blah blah... can someone send me a link they know works please? and anyone know how i can stop this happening?

What are your system specifications, what Operating System version? What graphics card?
