Hacking EZFlash 3 in 1 shutting down without warning D:

So, I just got a EZFlash 3-in-1 and a CycloDS, and I am almost the happiest person ever. The only reason I'm NOT the happiest person ever is that I have discovered that the EZFlash apparently doesn't like it when I shut the DS. I've been playing a collection of GBC games in Goomba on it, and if I leave the screen closed for more than 15 seconds it just... shuts off. I've seen stuff mentioning that the EZFlash has issues with sleep mode, is this just an extension of that/same thing, or something completely different?

Umm.. it may be a completely different thing, you see, my DS used to shut off by itself randomly, at first I thought it was the flashcart or something but I realised that it was because it fell to the floor, so maybe its the DS not the EZ.

Nope! My DS doesn't shut off on it's own... and I just tried it on a different DS and it did the same thing. It occurs to me that I didn't describe it the best way; what happens is that the screens just go black, and there's no sound, but the power is still on. This happens after around 5 minutes of inactivity. DOING MORE RESEARCH to see if it happens with all GBA games.

Looks like it's just Goomba Color. Looks like I may have to swap to Lameboy

EDIT: OKAY APPARENTLY I'M A COMPLETE IDIOT. Goomba Color has a sleep mode built into it that turns on after 5 minutes, and to get out all you need to do is press Start + Select. gaaaaaaaaaaah.
