ROM Hack Extracting Pokémon 3DS maps and exporting to Blender?

I remember only vaguely of people exporting to Blender very early on from the game releases (much more around ORAS than around XY), but I cannot find any documentation about how to go about this, or if the maps have been dumped as .obj or similar somewhere.

Is there anywhere I can go to for further information on this topic?
