Suggestion Expand functionality of following users

Currently, following users only does one thing as far as I'm aware: it notifies you whenever they post a new entry to their blog.
How about expanding this to also notify you about when they start new threads, update their status, and the like? With per-user toggles as to which notifications you want to enable.

I agree with these suggestions, but keep in mind you can also use following as a method of "vetting" which people can view your content, through the Privacy options which to me is one of the more useful things you can do with it.
