Exclusive Online play for banned members Network possible

Special thanks to @spacemeowx2 at https://github.com/spacemeowx2/switch-lan-play for the tool
and @mastertwin for the tutorial

this works on all firmwares, hacked or not hacked switch, Banned or not Banned switch. game updated prefered. Mainly useful to play in community public servers.

things you would need:
-https://www.winpcap.org/install/default.htm
-https://www.github.com/spacemeowx2/switch-lan-play/releases

1. Edit Switch Internet settings
-set IP adress to static
-make up an IP address. your unique IP can be anything from 10.13.0.1 to 10.13.255.254 (Except 10.13.37.1 because its Gateway)
-input your made up IP address at the IP address section.
-Subnet Mask stays at 255.255.0.0
-Gateway stays at 10.13.37.001
-Configure DNS primary to manual. Configure DNS primary to 008.008.008.008
if you have a hacked console and are not banned yet, use 90 DNS to avoid telemetry. 90 DNS settings are "163.172.141.219" for primary and secondary DNS to "45.248.48.62"
-Save and that is it here.

2. Download software

3. Run Software
-Install winpcap fully
-double click on lan-play.exe and copy paste public server of your choice

available public servers:
35.236.10.223:11451

189.222.60.255:11451

-press enter. it will prompt you to enter your switch's LAN "interface".

Your interface will be the option containing your PCs IP address.
To find your PCs IP address, go to start on your PC and type in CMD. In CMD type: ipconfig
-you should get something like this

You may get more than one adapters, but In most cases, computer's IP address would be found in the first one. This is the one that connects to the internet and is connected to the router. it will be in the IPv4 section.

In this case interface 5 has the same IP from earlier (computer's IP address). So 5 is the interface that must be chosen. Type 5 and press enter.

if youre having problems with this step you can try different interface numbers until the switch can later on connect to your PCs internet. Also, try resetting your computer and switch if problems persist. Its possible your PC needs a restart to fully instlall wincap

4. Connect internet on Console and verify connected to internet fully.

Stupid question but am I only be able to play with other people on the same server or can I play with people playing "official" as well?
You cannot play with the Official people cause you are playing on custom servers. You will only play with the people on these servers, but there's a lot of people there, join the discord group. Good luck and have fun!

Btw, i tried this already and all works very well. Its so good to have people to play with :D:D

Is there any way to play smash bros ultimate with a hacked switch and a non hacked switch? With this or another way?

I have no idea what's going on, but when I'm trying to set my Switch to connect to my router with an IP in the specified 10.13 range, it gives me a 2110-3127/"Could not perform DNS name resolution." error.

My local network's IP is in the 192.168 range, and when I set an IP in that range, I can connect, but I can't access any lanplay server.

What exactly am I doing wrong here?

Would this potentially trick Fire Emblem Three Houses into thinking it's online when it's really not? I'm not sure if it actually needs to retrieve anything from the internet for the online-only content.

I'm having some issues with this step. Lan-play doesn't ask for the LAN interface.

This is what I'm getting:

--relay-server-addr is required
Input the relay server address [ domain/ip:port ]:189.222.60.255:11451
Opening interfaces
[DEBUG]: open \Device\NPF_{D8E8309D-B724-4AB1-85AD-16FA9199F6C9} ok
[DEBUG]: open \Device\NPF_{FF810E48-B57E-446C-941E-6C07B679A6B4} ok
pcap loop start
[DEBUG]: packet init buffer 000000000056EA00
Server IP: 189.222.60.255

And after connecting the Switch (to the same connection as my PC):
[DEBUG]: IConnection::IConnection
[DEBUG]: TcpConnection::onConnection
[DEBUG]: ptcp->onConnect
[DEBUG]: lwip->onClose
[DEBUG]: IConnection::writeCallback -4081

Can anyone help? I enter the server and I get:
--relay-server-addr is required
Input the relay server address [ domain/ip:port ]:35.236.10.223:11451
Opening interfaces
[DEBUG]: open \Device\NPF_{1BCD2439-828E-40E6-9D0D-84C1CA785C10} ok

pcap loop start
[DEBUG]: packet init buffer 000000000056EA00
Server IP: 35.236.10.223

Can anyone help with whats wrong or what to do next? thanks

I did a bunch of troubleshooting and while I followed all the steps, I was not able to get it working on my home network, only a mobile hotspot. Therefore, I know that I have to change something with my router to make it work. The thing is, winpcap works just fine on my home network, but the Switch just doesn't connect. ldn_mitm enabled as well on 9.2, 10.5 atmosphere.

If I'm reading this right, in theory, we could hold online Pokemon Sword and Shield LIVE TOURNAMENT event and have LAN Spectator Mode enabled, correct?

(Since Spectator mode is only available on LIVE EVENTS)

Its crazy how smart people are to get things like this to work! Credits to everyone involved! I would not even know where to begin to do something like this.

Make sure you can access the DNS server from your computer first. On MacOS Terminal, Linux terminal, or Windows CMD prompt, type:

nslookup www.youtube.com 163.172.141.219
or
nslookup www.youtube.com 207.246.121.77

You should get an IP address, or more likely a LIST of IPs, as a response. If the command times out, the DNS server could possibly be blocked either at a network level or a country level.

You can change the order of the primary and secondary DNS depending on response time as both IPs are in different countries:
  • 163.172.141.219 (France)
  • 207.246.121.77 (USA)
