Greetings, I'm using a TP-Link AXE7800 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6E Router. I've had my Switch since day one, and it's been chugging along well. Had some confusion with the download speeds wired being slower than wireless - turns out I had to lower the MTU for the Ethernet connection back to 1400. And using NextDNS now halves my download speeds on Switch AND Switch 2, so I've stopped using that.

But I've always had one issue, which is with the IPv6 on this system. When I go into the Internet tab in System Settings to get a glance, it gives me info for all the fields in for my connection, even providing an IPv6 IP Address and Gateway... except for the Primary and Secondary IPv6 DNS. Those just show up as "::" there.
When I take a proper Internet Test it proceeds as usual, but hangs a bit on the "Global IP Address (IPv6)" before just returning a blank "-" address. Which is strange, because my other devices like my PS5 (to my memory) give IPv6 addresses & DNS just fine.

I have my Switch 2's IP and DNS retrieval set to Automatic.
My Router has a dedicated IPv6 page in Advanced settings, and here are the settings.

IPv6 Internet
Internet Connection Type:
Dynamic IP (SLAAC + DHCPv6)
Get IP Address: Auto [other options are SLAAC, DHCPv6, and Non-Address]
Prefix Delegation: Enable
DNS Address: Get Dynamically from ISP

IPv6 LAN
DNS Address:
Get Dynamically from ISP

I'm making a thread because I do not see any pages asking this; only responses advising to "turn off ipv6" to improve download speeds, which has done nothing for me.
I know it's not the biggest deal, I would just like to know if there is an issue with my internet worth looking into for the sake of this and the rest of the devices connected here. I know both my ISP AND the modem they provided me supports IPv6, and I have even tested with the site https://test-ipv6.com/ on a laptop with default Automatic IP address & DNS settings. I have even gone to another house with the same ISP as the one in my house but with a WiFi 7 router, which my Switch 2 had no issue getting IPv6 Global IP and DNS addresses. Is it an issue with my router, or just a Nintendo (Switch 2) quirk?

Thank you in advance!

It might be a Nintendo Switch 2 quirk, as the same occurs to my system where it sometimes showed a IPv6 gateway and sometimes didn't. I ended up just manually setting the DNS to cloudflare's for both IPv4 and IPv6 in the switch Internet settings to force the system to always get an IPv6 gateway.

For reference, the minimum addresses to enter if you want to use Cloudflare's Public DNS are:

IPv4
1.1.1.1

IPv6
2606:4700:4700::1111
(Do note the double : before 1111!)

After some quick tests, I was able to get my Switch 2 an IPv6 gateway with auto DNS enabled on the Switch 2 by specifying an IPv6 DNS in my router's wan settings instead of on the Switch 2 itself.
