OK so let me first explain my setup here...I have an internet router and a wifi transmitter set up in my living room, while my laptop PC, consoles (including PS5), and other devices (including my smartphone) are set up in the room next to the living room; after setting up my switch 2 a few weeks ago in the same room with my laptop/consoles/devices and having it docked and put into sleep mode for an extended amount of time (I play my switch 2 almost exclusively in TV mode), I started noticing frequent random wifi connection dropouts (despite wifi connections being perfectly fine before setting up switch 2), and every time that happens, I can only connect through wifi again only after shutting down and restarting my router...but the weird thing is that the random wifi connection dropouts seem to happen not only on my switch 2, but on my laptop/consoles/devices located in the same room as the switch 2 as well...It took me a couple of weeks before I started to suspect that my switch 2 may have something to do with this, so I decided to shut off my switch 2 completely while it's docked, and the wifi connection issue never showed up again on my switch 2 or my other devices.

In case anyone else is experiencing similar issues with wifi connections as above, try not to have your switch 2 docked and on sleep mode for extended periods of time and see if that helps.

I had the exact same issue after setting up my Switch 2 — random Wi-Fi dropouts across all my devices, and the router would only come back after a restart. After some testing, I realized it only happened when the Switch 2 was docked in sleep mode. Since I started shutting it down completely instead of leaving it sleeping, the Wi-Fi has been rock solid. Might help others running into the same problem.
