Hacking erase softmod from wii, v 2.3

copy everything to your SD card and follow the guide :) it's real simple a lot of reading for so little steps.

Quick Guide Open Wad manager goto Wad Folder hold (+) and install all wads but make sure it's just those Wads that ModMii download, then go and delete the homebrew channel and your done. I just saved you a whole lot of reading lol

then it asked me where i want to save the files, and then it began to download and that was it, no more yes or no.
ok, but what happened to "choose yes for installing all Active IOS & System Channels."? im a bit confused.

Yep that looks correct :) sorry I just got off work.

Just install them with any Wad manager and delete the homebrew channel from the hackmii installer

ok, so these wads, are they original or custom? do i have to install one of each or do they install altogether? i havent tried this out yet, been busy.

You can just install these also I would call them Original despite the fact the SM IOS have an increased version#.

so those called cios, they are the custom ones? so everything in the wad folder from copy_to_sd folder i should install, right? i really appreciate the help.

im also wondering about the wad file called USBLoader(s)-ahbprot58-SD-USB-v12-IDCL which was created also in the same wad map. is that something i should also install?
 
Install all the WADs together & don't worry about if they are custom or not since only their Version# has been modified to help prevent bricks from people who may attempt downgrading; nothing else has been changed or will effect performance of Wii.

I'm not really sure what the issue is about installing these wads or why you can't just give your friend the Wii Modified...

If you really want non cIOS then use NUSD and simulate a SM4.3U/E/J/K (depending on where you are) & install those with a Wad Manager with the exception of boot2.wad (do not install boot2.wad)

im not selling this wii to a friend. i will just auction this (i have already with the description that its softmodded) or sell it to a store. i just want to be 100 % sure that i have the right wads.

Sorry for my misunderstanding :( Rest assured ModMii has not been known to brick any Wii's :) so it's completely safe to install all those Wads :)

just one more question though about this, the wad rvl-mios-v10.wad, whats that doing? ive read its for playing gamecube backup games so why should i install that? it was downloaded also along with the other wads from modwii, i think.
 
these are the wads in copy_to_sd i got from modwii. do they look correct?

you seem to know so much so if you could just answer this last question ill be glad, and also would you kindly (ya, i went there) take a peek on the screenshot of wads i uploaded. thanks.
 
now i cant update my wii from 4.1e, it says error code 32017, but in the wii settings it says 4.3e and the wii shop channel gives me a black screen. why is this? i have erased homebrew channel also.
 
u prolly have system menu hacks enabled via priiloader to block updates... but u prolly want to avoid ninty updates anyways

you can update your shop channel using modmii, u just need to tell ModMii you want to update it when it asks you

how do i know if i have priiloader installed, because as far as i know, i never installed it? i installed the homebrew channel with the twilight hack back in 2009. i guess i need homebrew channel now for modmii, which i uninstalled?
