Hacking ELINK update adds real time saves

I tested it out with a couple games and it seems to work quite well. Saves only take about three seconds and the load time is practically non-existent. I have to say that I'm very impressed with this cart.

Real time saves let you save at any point while the game is running, even if the game doesn't support saving. Also known as saved states, save states, game states, instant save, etc.

Call it a rom site if you like, but it is linked from the company web site and the closest thing to an official announcement by the Elink team. The download is automatic for anyone with the software installed.

I actually didn't think it was going to happen.

Yes. I thought something was wrong at first because it was so fast. Sadly, my M3 has lost the ability to save games, but I think this card is a worthy successor. Especially for the price it's going for.

Not that I've noticed, however in my limited testing there do seem to be a lot that won't run with cheats or RTS enabled.

Also I should mention that loading roms is quirky and painful. This is a card for a user who focuses on only a few games at a time.
