Well, one thing that worked: I changed the cheat txt files and deleted all the ones that I won't use ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I have same problem but system_setting are in atomsphere/config folder and chests should be deactivated since I have correct settings but it show enabled.

check your cheats folder, if there is a toggles.txt in it, delete it.

That's really weird, if your config is correct and toggles.txt doesn't exist, it shouldn't automatically enable the cheats.
Have you tried what Gamerjin said, remove the ";"?

I have update to latest atmosphere and now won't Tesla Menu show up when I press L+down button + right Thumbstick button at the same time.
I have it on SD card, since I used FTPD

emm......I suggest you use deepsea package:
https://github.com/Team-Neptune/DeepSea/releases/latest
The advance and normal package contain the correct config files and tesla, you may need to delete atmosphere, sept, bootloader on your SDcard first (or rename them to atmosphere2 or something like that)

I'm having the same issues. I've changed the .ini file, still same issue. Ive held L while loading my title. My question is this, Why knowing that this is an issue are the defaults set to automatically be on knowing multiple cheats crash games. I cant delete them with out editing files, I cant turn off default settings without editing files....why cant it just be set to default that if I want cheats on, I'll turn on the ones I want.

Cheats are working fine for me, it's just that they are always active in spite of the dmnt_cheats_enable_by_default is already 0

Do you have the latest version of the switch? (14.1.2) I installed it yesterday and the same problem returned to me that all the cheats are activated, let's see if someone can help us

Any solution till now? I wanted to update to 14.1.2 today but if the cheats are always enabled with 14.1.2 i will stay at 13.1 since there will be a solution for that.

go inside atmosphere folder then system_settings.ini
back up this file before changing it (for safety purposes only)
look for and chaged it to:
dmnt_cheats_enabled_by_default = u8!0x1 to dmnt_cheats_enabled_by_default = u8!0x0.

if its still not working try also
go inside atmosphere/config_templates folder then system_settings.ini

To disable cheats do the following:

Make sure your file is not named system_settings.ini.txt as it will NOT work. It MUST end in .ini

edit /atmosphere/config/system_settings.ini and look for:

and change it to:

My switch is running ATM 1.3.2 and FW 14.1.2. After doing all steps as you mentioned, all code are off but it is very weird. When i play game, for example Fire Emblem Warriors, some code are automatic turn on and off and some cannot turn on and off manually. It is totally randomly. Try to reinstall Edizon and reboot Switch serveral times but it is still the same. Could you pls hlep me?
