You did download the EDGE files on their site right? No? That's a start. Download those files, and put them on your root folder.
Once you unzip it, there should be 3 files (1 folder with two files on it: config.xml and cheats.dat, and a file outside that folder, EDGE.dat).
Is cheats.dat present? If not, you can find the needed file here. Just rename the file to cheats.dat.
Then, turn on the "cheats" by going to the option menu, then enable cheats. That's all. When you start a game, it will ask you whether you want cheats activated or not.
