Hello,
I just got my hands on a D2E chip with epoxy, and I was able to remove it all using simple paint remover and lots of patience, but in the process i managed to mess up a part (this is a picture of a good drive found on the internet)
(circled in red) and now my wii won't read anything, not even originals, it ejects the disc and turns on ok, but when it comes to reading the disk it just makes high pitching sounds and never stops spinning until it appears the message "There is a problem with your disk, EJECT and see manual for troubleshooting"
I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on:
1. What is that red circled part? (anyway I can get an equivalent from my electronics store and install it?)
2. as you can see in my drive's picture it appears as if the "metal hat"of that is off, can you think of a way to solve this problem?
Any help is very much appreciated. thanks!
