Hello !

I have a 3DS on 2.1.04E firmware.

My dstwo, my Acekard2i and the browser exploit don't work (freeze for browser exploit and "An error occured please reboot for linker).

A gamecard update ( 4.3.0 with Mario Kart 7) solve the problem (dstwo and browser exploit work) but this bug is very strange.

Any Idea?

It's no bug, the DS profile exploit only works on 4.1-4.5 systems, and the browser exploit only works on 4.5-9.2 systems.

Nop, I mean the fact that the DSTWO does NOT EVEN launch while it works on my other consoles (ranging from 4.3 to 9.4), not only the ds profil exploit.
And browser exploits will be compatible 2.X / 3.X, there are playload generated for these firmware from the 5 playload of the gateway site

I should have liked at least be able to launch the browser exploit to backup my 2.1 nand : /

Well the problem is solved, luckily I had MK7 haha.

But I find it quite strange that my DSTWO have refused to run it ...

    @_Ruri_, the tweezers trick didnt work :/
  • _Ruri_ @ _Ruri_:
    @Xdqwerty, Damn :/ did the tweezers hold onto the screw or did they slip?
  • _Ruri_ @ _Ruri_:
    It worked for me but it was a thick screw without nothing else covering the sides (except that transistor I accidentally broke off trying to remove the screw)
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @_Ruri_, they slip
  • _Ruri_ @ _Ruri_:
    Hm, it makes sense. Nothing else comes to my mind then :/ I guess you have to either make efforts finding the right screwdriver or just give up
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @_Ruri_, I'd rather give up
  • _Ruri_ @ _Ruri_:
    @Xdqwerty, I guess. No places that sell screwdrivers around?
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @_Ruri_, not that I remember
  • _Ruri_ @ _Ruri_:
    Oof. Maybe supermarkets sell them?
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @_Ruri_, mmaybe
  • _Ruri_ @ _Ruri_:
    They should be pretty common screwdrivers so there's a chance
  • _Ruri_ @ _Ruri_:
    Don't know about the tri-wing screwdrivers though
  • _Ruri_ @ _Ruri_:
    They're basically Nintendo exclusive from what I know so no chance you're gonna find them in random physical stores
  • _Ruri_ @ _Ruri_:
    The normal cross ones you could though so you can probably take out the back cover
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @_Ruri_, they don't seem to be tri wing screws
  • _Ruri_ @ _Ruri_:
    @Xdqwerty, You could have a chance to take out at least the back cover then

    Dunno about the insides though, never disassembled a 3ds

    Try checking out the iFixit guides
