hey! same here in my opinion the main cause of freezing problems is because of the limitations in the creation of files like save files, especially if you have 25+ games, heck! are we sure, we're all going to play those games all at once..hehe

maybe the problem is in the format of the sdcard..

I wonder if the menu system has a limit to the number of files that can be in a folder. Perhaps the OS creating new .sav files causes it to exceed this limit if you put everything in the root, and that's what's causing the freezing.

ETA: Didn't I read somewhere that FAT16 has a limit to the number of files in a single folder? Is it possible that yours was FAT16 and that you exceeded the number of files in the root?

Correct. The FAT16 has a limit to the number of files that can be present in the root directory. Moving them to a subdirectory solves the problem because the same limitation doesn't apply to subdirectories.

The FAT16 root directory file limit is ~33,000 files.

Probably not the issue.
Actually, for the root directory it's 512 for FAT16, IIRC. And it's only 512 when you don't use long filenames. Using long filenames takes up more space in the FAT, so this could very well be a problem... 8.3 = 11, so 512*11=5632- what means that you can have LFNs with 5632 characters in the root dir... make an average filename 40 characters long and the root dir can only hold 5632/40=140.8 files anymore. If I'm not mistaken special characters makes that even less.

the OS's YSmenu is an alternative OS menu to the official NDSTT, but you do need the official NDSTT OS to get it working

The link to OS's YSmenu is http://home.usay.jp/pc/etc/nds/index_en.html

Read the readme me file how to get it working

Since using it everything is now working 100% not 1 crash since

In case anybody was still wondering: 1.08 does not show an icon, when a 3-in-1 is inserted. That option seems to be Ewin-exclusive. Not a biggy, but it would have been nice if the 3-in-1 had an icon. Yes, I'm a GUI bling enthusiast, so what.

Here is the English DSTT page; NDSTT UK

I see there is no TTMENU.SYS file anymore, is that a problem?
Now I use version 1.07 with these files;
TTMenu (map)
TTMENU.DAT
TTMENU.SYS

I have a Games map and never had a 'freezing'.

for the new v1.08
does it mean it doesnt need ttmenu.sys to load the menu anymore?
i also tried redloaidng the old v.107
and its also delted from the file load
so im wondering if the system file is obsolete now?
if not are they going to realease the final v1.08 w/ a ttmenu.sys?

They told me when you install the new files on your card and start it up in your NDS then it will make the ttmenu.sys file.
I didn't try it yet.

hmm...can i use v1.07 ttmenu.sys
im still kinda confusde on it why they dont add it manually cuz i heard there's that "ttmenu.sys error"
while loading the card
of that's possible is it just only a "preview" and unusable?

I can tell you for a fact that v1.08 works fine and creates the .sys file for you. I have never gotten any "ttmenu.sys error." I don't know if you can use ttmenu.sys from v1.07 but I wouldn't recommend it.
