Why does it need a 1024kb save file while the
japanese version requires 512kb one?
I heard it was something about one 512kb block is
for battle data and the other is for.. (can't remember

)
Matt.

No ideas ... to be honest!? ... I just know that loads of people had issues with the JAP one and a 1mb save worked for them so I created and shared one for those that had issues and needed it

Guessing that its the same kinda issue with the USA one so posted here and then made and updated USA save to see if it could help you

i don't understand, i got 1 badge, saved like three times and the SAV is still ok

DSTT V1.17 (fake-killer disabled)

Hmm.. I guess a patch will appear in the future

,
anyways, thanks for the help with the saves

Once the game is officially released we may see more
people working on it like GTA:CTW.
Matt.

Guess you'll have to play something good like Hatsworth until your preciuos Pokemon gets fixed

maybe because you still haven'y progress far enough?

ok, i think this might be a big problem for me!!
what you guys are trying to say is....as we progrees the game,
the size of the save file increased and eventually delete the save file!?

Hmmm. The people at Poke Sav said that the 1mb corruption thing was bullshit.
I'm starting to think it is, because me and my gf tested my .sav(where I saw people saying it corrupts. After getting the second badge) on an iTouch and DSTT, and we were able to save, and load just fine. =/

Those trying to get Pokemon Platinum working may want to check out this thread: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=141993

There is reportedly an unofficial version of infolib.dat and savlib.dat that support the 1MB saves needed by Pokemon Platinum. I no longer have a working DSTT, but if anyone tries it and finds that it works let me know and I'll upload them to the download area and add the information to the FAQ.

I noticed that the archive containing the infolib.dat also contains a savlib.dat, but that the other archive only has a savlib.dat file. I assume that you would use infolib.dat from the one archive and savlib.dat from the other (replacing the files with the same name in the TTMENU folder) to make Pokemon Platinum work.

I've just tried the method Bri suggested above, and I can
tell you that it Dramatically decreases the time
it takes to load a platinum ROM, around 3-5 seconds now
(depends on your SD Card speed aswell
