YSMenu + savlib.dat (R4 & DSTT)

DSTT Firmware (TTMENU.DAT) can auto convert 512K to 1M.
YSMenu (YSMenu.nds) can't auto convert.
At first time, YSMenu will create 1M save.

this is like an update firmware right?except not from team dstt?nice, but im just curious,is this safe?and even if it is,does it even work?

The archive with the infolib.dat also has a savlib.dat file in it. Any idea which should be used? Or are they the same?

This actually works (im pretty sure). All my games boot up really fast now. Like before GTA would take roughly around 7 seconds to load and with this, it cuts that time roughly in half.

I just replaced the infolib and savelib file in the TTMenu folder with the ones in the .zip file.

Im still testing it out though so yeah

Did boyakkey actually write the DsttFlashChecker and DsttFlashWriter utilities? I want to make sure he gets credit.

Do you know who hacked TTMENU.DAT to disable the fake-killer code?

I gather that these files simply contain lists of games that don't have standard 512MB save files and specify how the loader should handle them. Presumably, someone has taken the files that were part of the official firmware and added some games to the lists that weren't there before, so games that were in the lists before should remain unchanged.

niu, please correct me if I'm wrong.

so which savelib do i use?
the one thats in the infolib folder?
or the one that is in the savelib folder?
I used the separate savlib and that seemed to work just fine. My Pokemon Platinum now has a 1Mb save file.

For everyone concerned about their previous saves (512kb ones),
the DSTT automatically resizes your save/recreates your save into
a 1024kb one with all your original data intact.

However, if this fails, and wipes your previous save (and aslong as you
have a backup of that save) you can simply use a Hex Editor to resize
your 512kb one into a 1024kb one (just make sure you fill all the created
00's with FF's

).

Matt.

tried replacing the savlib and infolib, everything seems ok the pokemon platinum sav loads no problems. the rom loading is a little bit faster.

thanks niu & bri

Evidently I am too stupid to figure out how to change the 512kb sav file generated by YSMenu on my R4 into a 1024kb sav file using a hex editor. Would anyone mind terribly posting a link to a file they have created?

Having already failed to use these unofficial files with YSMenu itself, it seems like it would be the most efficient way to (hopefully) get Pokemon Platinum working properly for me.

It does, but the data is of no consequence. It is just a file from trying originally to get the game to work. I plan to start a new game once I have a sav file size of 1024kb.
