Is the game listed on the supported list on page 1?
Also, has anyone found out how you add support for
a new game? I think it involves adding the game ID to
the end of the list stored in savlib.dat .

Evidently I am too stupid to figure out how to change the 512kb sav file generated by YSMenu on my R4 into a 1024kb sav file using a hex editor. Would anyone mind terribly posting a link to a file they have created?

Having already failed to use these unofficial files with YSMenu itself, it seems like it would be the most efficient way to (hopefully) get Pokemon Platinum working properly for me.

copy /b 1.sav + 2.sav 3.sav

1.sav(512k)+2.sav(512k) makes 3.sav (1024k)

When I done this the original save data from the Pokeplatinum 512k save (1.sav from example above) kept intact ok in the newly made 3.sav, but backup in case it doesn't. For 2.sav use any 512k save file, I used a blank one made by supercard slot-2 patcher software.

Did boyakkey actually write the DsttFlashChecker and DsttFlashWriter utilities? I want to make sure he gets credit.

Do you know who hacked TTMENU.DAT to disable the fake-killer code?

-Bri

All Hack Work by boyakkey.

Include
-Disable the fake-killer code
-FakeDetector
-DsttFlashChecker
-FakeRecovery
-DsttFlashWriter
-DsttDumper
-infolib custom kit
-Analysis of data (infolib.dat & savlib.dat)
etc....

Im using YSmenu on a DSTT, and i used this, but my save files didnt change. They are still 512kb.
Im using the second link savlib along with the infolib in the first link. S:

Sadly, this can only be used with the DSTT as YSMenu uses an in-built save system (or just doesn't support the two files), perhaps this may be fixed in a future release

The 1MB save files are just for certain games:
Code:
-1MByte save size
1279 - Ganbaru Watashi no Kakei Diary (JP)
1328 - Ganbaru Watashi no Kakei Diary (v01) (JP)
1338 - Shinri Kenkyuuka Yuukiyuu Kanshuu: Mainichi Kokorobics DS Therapy (JP)
1534 - DS Bungaku Zenshuu (JP)
2205 - VitaminX Evolution: Super Supplement Boys Goes On (JP)
2641 - Pokemon Platinum (JP)
2696 - Kirby Super Star Ultra (US)
2813 - Wagamama Fashion Girls Mode (JP)
2880 - Hoshi no Kirby Ultra Super Deluxe (JP)
2931 - Kirby: Ultra Super Deluxe (KO)
3212 - 100 Classic Book Collection (EU)
3541 - Pokemon Platinum (US)

Besides, the save files are automatically generated when you're starting a game. They won't magically change their size. You have to hex-edit it if you want to change the size of an existing save.

Wrong.

???? I though it didn't use them, R4YSAuto doesn't create the output with the two files?
You're absolutely right, R4YSauto does not create these two file. I went through the same thing - "how can I replace these files if they're not there in the first place?"

In the end I just put them inside the TTMenu folder regardless just to see what happened. To my pleasant surprise they did exactly what they were supposed to do. ROMs now load 3-4 times more quickly and Pokemon Platinum now generates a 1Mb save file.

I know that. I tried it with Platinum and it didnt work. I then realized that it doesnt work with YSmenu(one i used) and it works with TTMENU. It worked then.

Also, the save file DOES magically change the size, all you do is load the game and save and bam 1mb save file.

It DOES work with YSMenu. I believe when you say "ysmenu" and "ttmenu" you're referring to the folders. But they are the same thing.

And again, an existing save file won't change its size. You'll have to create a new save file or hex-edit it.

Funny, it MAGICALLY changed my gf's Plat. sav from 512kb to 1mb. Doesn't happen, not at all.

do i have to start again in pokemon platinum so that it generates 1mb savefile?
or it'll automatically convert it to 1 mb save file??
i'm confuse!!!!

it will automatically convert it to 1mb,so those with save files already, don't fret, your saves will still work, with everything you've done in it,but it's now 1mb,instead of 512kb

(just clearing things up for those who are still confused)
