it should Boot and pass the check then allow the Wood 1.29 for R4iGold firmware to work

this is only a theory but should work and allow DSTTi to work on 3DS and DSi 1.4.2

I think DSTTi and R4iGold have different hardware...

But if this allow to update it might be interesting for old R4iGold that gets the "No update needed" error message.

What Hex editing software have you used, some line modification are obvious, but some others I can't find which number to alter ()

    Code:
    00000010 |ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ 00ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ| 00000010 |ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ 01ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ|
This line is filled with zeros... hard to know which one to alter...

Can you upload it to megaupload or similar?

Just execute the .nds file on a DS, DSL or DSi pre 1.4.2.
    Just like a regular rom.

I would honestly wait till Pong comes back so you can have him check your file (and mine) to see if it's done right. Even then, there is still a decent chance of bricking your card. Just wait, I recommend.

BTW- what MD5 sum did you get for your modified file? Mine was:
    725dcf4aec13b97eb4ef765f2a6e0d21

    Sum of original file:

If anyone wants to upload the finished file and send me the link, I can try it out. I have a few DSTTi cards here (genuine ones with serial numbers - recently manufactured).

    EDIT:

    Cheers, thanks for the link

It supposedly makes TTDSi work with DSi fw 1.4.2 and 3DS.

    Just tried.

Boots up and fails to update.

It doesn't pass the card check.

BTW, I am using Retrogamefan's firmware.

Doesn;t break the card, but can't update.

If Pong wants to PM me a link to a file I can try that.

I am not so concerned about bricking a DSTTi, I have several here.
