hi!

Im having trouble playing roms on my ds, i get freezes and white/black screens when i try to run them.

This is what i have:

DSI (XL) firmware version 1.4.3E
Acekard 2i firmware version 1.4.3 (HW 81, SVN 1107)
My MicroSD is a SanDisk 4GB class4
I run my acekard with AKAIO 1.8.8

This is how i try to get my games to work:

I format my MicroSD with SDFormatter, download akaio 1.8.8, place the _aoi folder and the akmenu4.nds file in the root of my microSD.
Then i create a file namned "games" and put a single rom in there. Then i put the microSD back in the acekard, then in the ds and try to run my game.
At this point either the game freeze randomly when the ds loads the game/while in the menu or i get a black/white screen from the start(no loading bar or w/e).

Ive tried my roms with desmume (emulator) to see if they work, they do.
Ive also checked the roms with NDScrc to see if they are corrupted but they all came out clean.

So anyone care to help me or have any thoughts?

Feel free to ask any question!

thx in advance.

Is it the same model of card though? It won't matter if so. You need a different type of card. Could be same brand, just a different model.

since he tried another micro sd, assuming it was formatted correctly and free of issues, then yea it probably is a contact issue. there are micro sd slot contact issues but that are more rare. at this point the next step in debugging would be to try the paper trick. if that fails then it could be the micro sd slot is bad or damaged.

before trying the paper trick make sure you don't have any bent pins in slot-1.
