Hacking DSi Camera Poll

It's disapointing how people hate the DSi because it has a camera. Yes, it is gimicky. Big woop, if you had half a brain you'd see the DSi isn't just a DS Lite with a camera or two.

It's the software I'm mainly interested in, and the increased RAM and processor speeds can't hurt. I'll be looking forword to DSi enhanced games and homebrew, thank you very much.

I'm not saying I hate the DSi because it has a camera,
I'm just saying I hate the camera they put on the DSi.

Would it have really have hurt them to put at least 3.0MP intead of 0.3MP?

1st of all about the video Knuxxie. No you are wrong DSi have wayyy too much space because of the SDHC support. Maybe you must look all the new cameras that use ONLY SDHC cards (no DVDs or cassettes) to record full HD quality video. So for DSi it's easy to record at 640x480 pretty easy with 1 - 2GB for hours!!! The are pen drives with embeded 2-4GB flash memory and hidden cameras also that record for hours.

Damn, that's pretty neat. I didn't know that. xD

Well, cheers to hope Nintendo updates with a recorder... Even if it's a fawking DSiSA.

I don't use the camera, but DSi isn't just a DS Lite with a camera. It's more comfortable to use, the matte surface doesn't get as dirty, the D-PAD is just light-years ahead of DS Lite's, screens look better (seriously, my DS Lite feels awkward to use now) and with DSiWare there's a lot of (still unused) potential. I don't regret a single cent.

I'm curious to see how piracy control is homosexual...

The screens on a DSi are bigger which is the main improvement, plus there may be some good DSiware in the future (some wiiware is very good) and it can take advantage of the processor, so could look better than full DS games.

The camera is not there for you. My sister (15) has a DSi and she uses the camera and mic features all the time, because she uses it with her friends, and they have fun without even playing any games.

I'd get a DSi if I could. But, with my current things to buy, and with my spendings, it's not going to be anytime soon.

Worst of all, it costs 199.99 +12% tax in Vancouver over here. So, basically, over 200... ;_;
