Hacking DS won't stay on

If I press the start button then the ds will turn off, is there any way I can fix this w/o voiding warranty, it just started to occur this morning.

No but I used a passkey 2, I'm not sure how old it is as I bought it used (good as new) a month ago but it is a lite so it's at least a year old.

I also have a question about warrenty policy, I bought a warrenty with the DS which lasts for two years but I would like to know how much times I can replace it because I only bought it a month ago.
