Hacking DS .SAV game edit

Hi
I accidentally changed the system date on my sons DS....to 2008...When he played animal crossing, he found lots of weeds everywhere and spent hours clearing them up.

I now ant to set the date back to the current date/time, but when i do so the same problem occurs with the weeds in the game.....I made a .sav file backup first.

Then I altered the date/time stamp on the game and .sav file to current date/time, but still have the same issue. I assume the .sav file carries the date/time info.

Is there a way of editing this, so I can reset the console time, along with the game files...
