It might be. But it's certainly overwriting the header of the cart. That's something my TWL Slot-1 Launcher doesn't do.
What if you try modifying the rom like move a tree and then inject that into the CIA? If entree moves that would mean it's running off the CIA wouldn't it?

My launchers don't install to nand. Don't install them to nand. Only DSiWare get installed to NAND. :P

EDIT: @Bobesh8 sent me some converted Kiosk demo games and I made some "corrections" to Mario Kart DS and it works as a DSiWare app!

This might have been a DLP child SRL now that I think about it. So that might mean any DLP child SRL can easily be converted to a DSiWare app.

This game doesn't use save data (because it's a demo). So that probably contributed to it working.

When I install the Mario Kart DS one it gives a black screen and the rythem heaven one give me "A problem has occurred"

Are you running a patched TWL_FIRM environment? You need a sig patched TWL_FIRM. Latest build of rxTools I believe has the needed TWL_FIRM patches. You can also install the prepatched CIA. (but I recommend only installing the prepatched CIA to emunand)

I installed a prepatched TWL_FIRM cia to emunand and sysnand

It's a n3DS if that's needed

Something is wrong with the versions you got from Bobesh8 then. The "working" build of Mario Kart DS Demo I did not personally release (though I gave him the working version of it. So I don't know. There was no reason for him to modify it so it's unlikely he did. The other games are different matter as I only did Mario Kart game). So if it doesn't work for you then either your setup is wrong, or something Bobesh8 did broke it.

What I did was I downloaded TWL_FIRM from "That ISO Site" then downloaded that pack from you on "That ISO Site" installed TWL_FIRM on both nands and installed the demo cia's on sysnand then emunand

The pack has Apache's fixed version of MKDS. I fixed the other demo roms the same way he did.

Last edited by RocketRobz,
Are you kidding me? We're almost there! We got DLP demos down! All we need is to figure out what's different between the two and fix DS ROMs to work!
We also need to figure out saving.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Were all the demos tested?
Games I tested:
Mario Kart DS - Works
Mario VS Donkey Kong 2 - Works
Rythem Heaven - Error
Metroid Prim Hunters - Error

I can finsh the list when I tested all the games
