I can't get my firecard to work. I just got it, and I tried to connect it to my computer with the firelink, but the computer didn't register it at all. So I've been surfing around, trying to find a way to make it work, but has so far been un successful.

I've tried reformatting it (L+R+a+b+down). And the screens says; warning: need full check! quick check... 0%
And nothing more happens, I've had it on like that for an entire night, but it remains on 0% (and this only shows if I have both the ds firecard and the ds firelink in the ds at the same time)

I've tried the combination L+R+a+b+up, and I get two white screens, one of which has the text USB SAFE BLOCK D14(ADDR5)
I have no idea what this means...

So, I can't reformat it, and I can't get my computer to recognize my card. So I can't put on the latest firmware or anything like that.
I've also tried al sorts of combinations, like start+select and such.

Help?

Ok, so I've made LOTS of progress since my last message. But now my ds says it can't find the DSYSTEM folder, which is pefectly true, since it's nowhere to be found on my card. Where can I download it?

are you using haxchi, tiramisu or aroma?
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    yeah
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
no, I'm asking which one of them you are using
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
in that case, there is no such thing as homebrew launcher for aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
you have to launch your homebrews directly from the wii u menu
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
there is a plugin that display them on the wii u menu, pretty sure it is enabled by default
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    so like it doesnt exist
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    yeah
    ?
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
it doesn't exist, at least not for aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    ohhhhh
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
on tiramisu you can access it by opening mii maker
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    okay
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    it is L+dpad down+ select
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
but homebrew is appearing in the home menu btw
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
    yes, now I remember it
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
then it is working, I also don't like that they did this but it is the only option you have if you are using aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
i just didint know the homebrew launcher didint exist in aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
