I was actually waiting for this but I'm left disappointed as usual. A buggy platformer reminiscent of the 90s platformers like Tom & Jerry on the SNES. For fans of the series, this will be an okay game but for others, shovelware.

A couple of things to note. The Horrid Henry theme is missing (I haven't heard it yet after finishing the first level). There is a very annoying looping MIDI-like tune that loops over forever while you play which makes the game even less bearable. The double jumping is frustrating a little and the enemies are uninspiring. The only good thing is that there are voiceovers from the TV series but this isn't enough to make a good game.

All these people saying it reminds them of childhood, and I thought horrid henry was a recent thing...

EDIT: According to wikipaedo it is a recent thing - first book in 1994 but the majority of them released in-between 2001-2006. I keep forgetting gbatemp is mostly little kids. :>

My favorite part about filing taxes is that I always either owe a disportionate amount of money or get literally pennies back.

    And I make under 30k a year.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    Just sit in jail
  • wolffangalchemist @ wolffangalchemist:
If it was a option just to go to jail for month as opposed to filing taxes I might be tempted, jail ain't that bad atleast in the us.
  • wolffangalchemist @ wolffangalchemist:
You just go in for a month and come out with no fines or having to pay them anyway, I would be down.

    hi, good morning
  • LeoTCK @ LeoTCK:
@wolffangalchemist here, jail or even simple detention is instead a way to get debts on you by the state
    outright
  • LeoTCK @ LeoTCK:
because its not "free", its only free if you stay there but then they want you to pay up once you get released, for all the "shitty service" and abuse they gave you
  • LeoTCK @ LeoTCK:
    I'm not fucking kidding
  • LeoTCK @ LeoTCK:
that's how its set up over here
  • LeoTCK @ LeoTCK:
and you'll never be able to get out of those debts unless..you commit a crime...thus making an endless cycle
  • LeoTCK @ LeoTCK:
    they are "smart" you see
  • LeoTCK @ LeoTCK:
they're just bastards if you ask me lol
  • LeoTCK @ LeoTCK:
some homeless people commit crimes or a lot of misdemenors to get into detention so they have some place to stay even, but of course it will never solve their finances, quite the opposite
  • LeoTCK @ LeoTCK:
so yea....its really messed up if you ask me
