I only played a very little bit though. So, count this as extremely preliminary. But, it's basically the same kind of game as Cooking Mama but with tools and building stuff.

I've also played a small part of this

The principle IS the same as cooking mama, but the one thing I found annoying is that there's virtually no time to read the instruction on what you have to do between stages, where as on cooking mama it waits until YOU click on continue

Ah. A Cooking Mama for guys.

That sounds good. The only thing I hate about Cooking Mama is the reliance on the touch screen for everything. I hope this game isn't as bad.
