Oh man, a Borat game would be too fcking awesome. What a swell mix of genres it would be. Imagine Phoenix Wright, but with "OBJECTION!" replaced with "NAHHHHT!"

How many different countries have their own version of this? I had no idea there was a German version.

I wonder how much money Tyra Banks really makes from having these other editions.

I dont think Tyra gets any Money for the other versions
.. because she doesnt host them and i dont think that she invented the show

She certainly did not invent the concept ... and as was said, she is not a host in any of the other countries ... such as Britain & Germany ... so, she wont get a penny.

She's not like Simon Cowell, who's company produces the different version of Pop Idol & X-Factor ... and wo makes money from every version ... she is just a host.

She certainly did invent it. She's credited as creator. This German edition is just part of her American originated Franchise. She's credited as Host, Executive Producer and Creator in the shows credits.

I'm just curious to know her current net worth with this and her own talk show. I had no idea this show was even in that many countries because of the crap network it's on. She must be literally the only thing keeping the network on the air besides WWE and Smallville.

I also wonder why there's no American edition of this. I guess we got lucky.

Just because she is credited with the concept, does not mean she came up with the concept
wink.gif

She either bought the concept rights from the inventor, or she paid someone to invent a show for her.

I write for television, and that kind of thing happens all the time ... the number of times I have been paid to write for someone else is ridiculous ... getting harder and harder to get accreditation these days ... especially for writers.

EDIT : Also, a lot of these celebrities are not worth anything near what is claimed of them. After tax, management fees, legal expenses (you'd be surprised), and numerous sundry other expenses, they aren't as well off as the media would have you believe. The 'net worth' that the media often reports for these people is actually an exaggerated version of their gross income, spun out over a time frame, so to speak ... I apologize for my play on words lol

If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
