Both are Nintendo games, I wont be surprised if they were developed by the same team.

I wonder if the game keeps the same 'feel' as the Japanese original version (which actually came with its own trick deck of cards). The Japanese game, when you went through the tutorials felt more like a 'impress your girlfriend' kind of thing with they way the graphics had been designed.

The deck, if it is identical to the Japanese release, is marked. A few of the tricks require you to know how to read the marked cards to give the desired effect

Oh man, why does this have characters and gameplay elements from Daigasso Band Bros? Thats just awesome.

I played(?) the Japanese version, not bad.
Basically they teach you a trick, you practice it and show it to someone.
kinda annoying it only allows you to get certain amounts of points per day. Took me like two weeks to unlock everything, without changing DS calender settings at all.
