Gaming Dragon Quest V Freeze

I need some help with DQV I'm currently at the point where you have to go to the winter palace (I think that's what it's called) and after a battle or two, the game just stays on a black screen. It has me up the wall considering I've been using the piracy bypass codes. Any help?

provide more info...what flashcart are you using and what cheats are you using?

Oh, sorry about that. I'm using an EDGE flash cart with the latest OS and I'm using the Monster Item drop code where Monsters will always drop an item and I'm using the gold multiplier code along with the Backup/Gamefix code 1+2

it is recommended that you only use 1 of the 2 Gamefix codes not both..try use the Version 2 fix

Ok I tried it, but unfortunately after I beat some snakes in the winter palace the game just keeps stopping
