sorry don't kow how this was posted again

For the "seems to me you are a pirate" error, couldn't you just use WAD uninstaller or AnyTitleDeleter to get rid of the pirate content/tickets?

Yeah i think so.
There was a thread about this error. But the thread was just spam...

I am not sure if you can uninstall things on 4.0 with ATD.
But you can try.

No, DVDX 3.4 has a "piracy" check inside, it only looks in the SD card, that's why you must backup and delete everything before running it.
When it finds that "you're a pirate", it writes a file in /shared2 to remember that and currently there's no way to delete it with a fixed IOS, I'm sorry.

Well, I'm pretty lucky that I didn't encounter that. What exactly does it look for in the sdcard? wiiware? saved games? Does it write that file (/shares2) in the sdcard or inside the Wii's system?

Ah okay thanks.
So we just have the DVDx Intaller on our SD Card and all should be fine.

Edit:
And if he use WiiTCPLoader?

Edit:
Well an idea would be to format the wii but keep the homebrewchannel.
So we have to find a way to hide the homebrewchannel.

I am not sure if it will delete the thing in the shared2 folder.

Help
I have a my Wii on 4.0 with HBC already installed.
I have gone into CMDVDX34 and tried first option i then get a message saying
E...
patchmii core 0.1 by bushing

The wii then freezes
I reboot and try again i get the message Failed to add title, maybe you already ran this,
I reboot and go install IOS35 1040.wad with WMIOS35 (that goes fine)
reboot
On PC I Execute downgradehelper.bat in the "PC" folder of the archive, it will download IOS36 from NUS and patch it to cIOSv9, then pack the WAD
I move the cIOSv9.wad to wad folder on my SD card.
I load HBC and load WMIOS35 select cIOSv9.wad starts to install ticket and then bang errors ret =1035

What am i doing wrong?

I have noticed when WMIOS35 runs it saying its using IOS35 1040

Any help would be great damn 4.0 is driving me nuts

With alot of help from Davi92, i deleted all my injected vc channels, then cleared out my shared2 folder with shared2 clear and that worked!

it may be possible that someone make an homebrew that make all this in one time ?
I think this is not a good idea.
In my opinion the guide is very simple.

Also it is easier to watch out for errors.

Agreed and can a mod sticky this? It definitely works and I think it's a massive help to those (like me) who screwed up their 4.0 installations

"Error downloading IOS36!"

Nothing more. Is there anyway to do this offline if you already have the IOS36 files from NUS.

The PC part does not run on Windows 7/Vista (either flavor). I confirmed this on the same PC running windows 7 x64 and XP (works on XP)

Creating a windows XP virtual machine should solve the issue of not downloading (and thus failing)

Hi All,

When i try to start dvdx iam stuck at the loading screen at 0%.

Try it again with turned off internet, maybe there's a problem with it and that causes the HBC to fail. If that doesn't work, backup your sd card and reformat it with this tool:
http://www.sdcard.org/consumers/formatter/
and try again.

Aww, damnit. I knew I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up too much when I saw the title of the thread.

If I'm not mistaken, that was an HBC bug where you had to remove the inserted GameCube memorycards

EDIT: the batch included in the new package is compatible with Vista.

Wow the new patch is cool!
And shared2clean... LOVE

1. Question:
You said: If you get the message you are a pirate, delete your VC/WW Games.

Do you mean fully deleting or just delete with the Wii Menu?
