Thanks for help.
Find IOS35-64-v1040.wad (from a disk such as Brawl-Mario Kart-WiiFit, or "elsewhere") and install it, then exit and continue with the cIOS installation.

This actually worked, thanks so much for this! I've been stuck in 4.0 limbo the past week and it sucked. Just follow the guide step for step and this WILL work for you!

Thanks Davi92 for helping! Now it works finally!! Yes Wii/We Can!

GOOD NEW!!: I have just tried an official up on Nintendo and of course it said that i'm already upgraded!

Then, i launched again and it worked EXTRA!
--------------------------------

By the way Davi92 , how could i install the IOS35-64-v1040.wad whereas my trucha was'nt there, i mean no possibiity of intalling wads (until 5 min ago ^^)??

Thanks Dude^^

It seems that this exploit replaces the IOS35 version with 0, and you can then install whatever IOS35 (even the bugged one).

I think the DVDX installer uses the latest ios hole that the hbc installer currently uses. That's why Team Twiizers don't want to release the source to it since it will help pirates.
Looks like it's too late lol! Still it could be that the hole was not fixed in all ioses (so it works from whatever ios the dvdx installer uses but not the system menu ios60, similar to how they only fixed the trucha bug in ios37 at first).

I'd love to know what the hole is, but I'm still hoping it can be saved so we might pirate on the dsi!

hey man, thanks for much...it worked out so well for me.

I upgraded my 3.2U to 4.0 without cios installed. And yet by following this guide, I got everything I needed for homebrew...I downgraded to 3.2, installed cios and then back to 4.0

Okay ive got a question....

cios_fix.wad and ciosv9.wad is this the same file???

Im not sure what wad to use here...

Setp 4 completed succesfully too!

and the bat keeps on giving me a download error for some reason...

The downgradehelper.bat is giving me the following error:

"Error downloading IOS15"

How can I solve this?

I am already on a 4.0 with IOS60 trucha patched, no CIOSes installed at all! Trucha signed discs not working. So am I able to use this to downgrade?

Well i just did it...

IT WORKS!!!!!

As long as you have the HBC installed this thing is a GEM!!!!!!!!!

Hey, I've been able to follow most of the guide, except with WMIOS35, since when I try to install the cios fix or ciosv9 I get error -1035, any help would be much appreciated
