You’ve probably seen some clips of CryZENx’s remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Unfortunately, he became discouraged from continuing development after Nintendo announced its official remake.
Since it seems unlikely that we’ll get a playable version of the official remake on the modded Switch 1, could we instead try to get the parts of CryZENx’s project that he made publicly available running on the Switch 1?
I think having the fan remake available on the Switch 1, alongside the official version on the Switch 2, could be a really cool way to keep the project alive. It might even give CryZENx some encouragement to pick it back up and continue developing it.
He’s also currently working on a 3D version of The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, which could make another amazing homebrew game for the Switch once it’s ready.
It would be really cool to see what could be achieved with these projects on the Switch 1, especially if the community could help bring some of CryZENx’s publicly released work to life.
