M3i Zero = Very BAD made quality (many many problems)

Funny, mine's fine. Oh, and I'm loving my M3 Sakura as well.

The USB cable sucks
The USB Reader too
And the PCB is too thin, and the contact inside the Slot 1 is not good all the time

You only see those problems because Gbatemp is mostly a support forum. So if there's a support forum, then all the people with problems with probably gather at that forum and say what problems they've been having. If you had ALL the people who had an M3i Zero on this forum, the people without problems would greatly outweigh the ones with problems.

Plus anyway you look at it, the M3i Zero is popular. It is the 3rd best flashcart, and the 2nd best DSi flashcart (going by the front page rankings). In almost every "lol wat flashcard shuld i get, i can't search" thread there's quite a few M3i Zero votes.

There may be things like the Cyclo DS with better build quality, but did you not catch how that costs 40 dollars and the M3i Zero costs 20 to 25 dollars?

I'm here because I'm trying to see if there is any way to increase compatability of DSTT. I have a clone and while the hardware itself is fine and the games that work are fine. As someone else pointed out the updates are slow as molasses. Updates come out but they don't seem to fix anything. So someone can be on this forum and not be crazy about the dstt and maybe be trying to use what they have. Update-wise the Acekard seems to be on top of their game so I understtand why someone would recommend the Acekard over DSTT. It's all opinion oriented so respect others opinions and their right to give it even if it differs from yours is my opinion.

Why do you argue what card is best in this topic? You are way off-topic.

To answer the persons original question:
DSTTi cards bought recently works straight from the box on the DSi XL no need to upgrade before use. You will see a Starwars Lethal Alliance icon on the screen.


Off-topic:
Acekards also works in the DSi XL but need to be upgraded in a DS Lite or DSi with old firmware before use unless the seller has done it for you.
M3Zero requires the use of a windows PC in order to update the card to work.
In fact all cards that supports v1.4 on the DSI works on the XL!
My DSi XL bought in Norway came with the 1.4E firmware.
