Hacking Does bootmii NAND restore function wipe the entire NAND memory area of

So basically, when you do a NAND restore from bootmii, does it first wipe the entire wii memory chip contents totally blank and then restores your backed up NAND to the memory chip or does it just overwrite stuff that's already in the memory and leave traces of stuff behind?

i think it only replaces blocks that have been altered since the last nand dump
