    Still stuck in 2009...
It has become increasingly apparent to me that the dsi line of systems have been discarded and forgotten as "the lesser 3ds" which makes me really sad... I remember when sudokuhax was the bomb, and everyone wanted dsi mode homebrew. Now I see so many dead threads from 2009-2010 talking about "how they are going to make a homebrew dsi shop. And how they can't wait for the next I-evo update. Or how they think they cracked the code on dsiware encryption.
And now with the shop gone it seems as if it has completely been left in the dust by EVERYONE.
Nobody seems to want to find new exploits because "the 3ds is a better dsi and the 3ds xl is a greater dsi xl ", which yes is partly true.
The dsi is outclassed in almost EVERY WAY by the 3ds,But it did have it's own charm that newer systems lack... I'm not shure if I'm crazy and a perfectionist but think about this buzzword,

    PRESERVATION

something that didn't happen the way it should have.

    PRESERVATION

something that won't be looked back upon until it is too late

    PRESERVATION

something that deserves a second chance...
Think about all the games that weren't downloaded to systems,

From March 31 and onward you better hope that you got flipnote because it's gone now, same for every other game that you may not have.
    Now you may be saying,
" aw jamez, you can just get those on the 3ds shop."

    Hahaha...

No, the 3ds e shop is missing a TON of dsiware games.
Games that will probobly never be sold again.

"But what about emulation?" you ask

Yes it is true a large sum f dsiware has been dumped, not ALL of it.
Meaning that in 10 years, when you have the sudden itch to play (insert not dumped dsiware title here) you can't
And going back a bit, it isn't the same as playing on an og dsi.

And yes flashcards are a thing, but only ONE let's you play dsiware on an og dsi, and not very well too...

So I'm not saying we need to drop what were doing, and go dump our dsiware, but just to be careful about this kind of stuff, because once you take a step back and look at it all, we could have done things much better. The dsi never got it's respectful transition from forefront console to backhand system until finally being put to bed gracefully as a great machine.
But was tossed to the side in favor of "better hardware " so now the poor thing is looming, existing in a trance of console death doomed to be barely remembered as "the ds with a camera" which is all our fault, and we can't but admit to it.

Tell me below your experiences with the system(s) below.

I care about the DSi, but to be honest, I never cared for any of the DSi exclusive games. I do want the system to be hacked though, but it seems locked up tight without many exploits.

Is the web browser not exploitable?
Are we just unable to run unsigned kernel-mode code?
What are all the things left unhacked about the DSi?
I guess I have tpoo many questions about the dead system.

Pokemon White 2 and Black 2 were "DSi-enhanced", which was cool I guess... (Not really sure what it offered that the DS couldn't, but I really don't care either.)

Korg DS-10+ did a great job using the extra horsepower of the DSi vs the Lite. I love the buttons on the DSi, and its matte finish. Very portable and good sound.

It was alright, I got mine and enjoyed it.
The DSiWare shop, Camera and DSiWare itself came at the cost of the GBA slot which imo wasn't worth it.
Sudokuhax came at a pretty bad time, the 3DS was almost out and people's interest pretty much went straight to that since it was more powerful and it had full-downloadable games to piracy was always going to be better on it.

Also all notable DSiWare can be played on 3DS too in the case of your "what about emulation" so if people want an original DS-feel of playing them they're going go get it on the 3DS

It's a shame that more people don't want to hack the DSi, I have two of them and would love to get full control on the system. I keep thinking one day maybe someone will start tinkering with the DSi like they did to the 3DS, now a days I highly doubt it, too bad though, it has potential.

Well, without it we probably wouldn't of got all the great exploits we got on the 3ds such as the dsiware downgrades. The dsi was like a prototype 3ds and it came out near the end of the original ds life cycle.

    Away from this shithole
AFAIK you can find all the dsi ware games on the 3ds eshop, you just need to do an advanced search to display all of them.

That's the bummer part, you have to move the extras to the SD card for storage, then bring them back out when you want to use em. That was one thing I hated about the DSi Ware.

Dsi lives matter! I love the screen. The 3ds is nice, but for ds games, I like my Mario edition Dsi xl.

DSi ware, not a physical cart.
I already own it on GBA and SNES.

I bought a DSi when my N3DSXL got bricked. (But it's working again now.)
What I like about the DSi is that the design looks similar to the DS Lite, it's menu looks neat, and that I can play DS games in their native resolution(, which you can do on a 3DS/2DS, but black borders surround the screens).
I'm glad to own a DSi, and with all that said, I still care about the DSi. :)

    Well, flashcarts exist.
I also want to point out that the DSi is old... but I saw recently that someone made a GameCube exploit with Super Smash Bros Melee.

Also, what type of security does the DSi use? If someone were to get unsigned code execution on the DSi, does the code have access to all the hardware? Or is it userland per say?
