Yes, the SD card will need to be formatted. You should backup the contents of the SD card before you create an emuMMC/emuNAND. You can restore the folders/files when you're done.

This is a good guide: https://nh-server.github.io/switch-guide/user_guide/emummc/partitioning_sd/
Question about this I am using atmosphere.
If i wanted to do this I would have to backup my 400gb sd card to my computer to be able to format it. However it is FAT32, would everything backup correctly? I know I had to split nsp before transfer to my sd card so I wonder if they stay under 4gb once installed to the sd card or if they will be combined and end up as larger than 4gb.

Split files will stay split when you back them up.

Also, once an NSP file is installed, you can delete the NSP file.

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
