I have been using a USB HDD with my XBOX 360 games on it. I want to use the hdd to install linux. Do I risk being banned copying my games to my pc hdd and then copying them back to my 360 when I get a new hdd? Will it ban me for modded files or something even though I am not modding any of the files, I am just storing them on my pc until I get a new hdd?

Solution
As long as you run your games through ABGX then there's pretty much nothing that can go wrong.

Copying files over from HDD to HDD doesn't modify files.

That is true. Aw well. It didn't really work out anyway, my computer is too new for some linux. 4k scaling isn't too good on some programs. I have to switch monitors to see the installer and then switch back to my 4k display and even then not all programs scale very well. I will keep in mind for future projects though. :)
