only slightly off topic, my memory is not great but did I read something that if you have 2 Switch's you can transfer game update's from one Switch to the other or is that just for profiles/saves ? I might have been imagining it, so don't yell

I think that only works starting with a certain firmware as the feature wasn't enabled in older firmware versions.

What I don't get is why update a game that requires a higher Firmware version and possibly rendering it unusable before you update your Switch?

Jup. Even if you could update, makes very little sense to do so unless you know that the FW required is the same that you have.

Actually, game updates are the only thing that made me thinking of updating the console..
These days developers don't bother adding controller support to their games, and instead release a launchday patch instead.
