    Sorry for nub questions, but I read the page and am still confused lol (I don't use twitter, that might be why) but what exactly is DIOSMIOS? I assume it has to do with cMIOS for GC backups, but what is it exactly? And who is BroadOn?

    I'm sure he'll be flooded with "will you release it" questions.

    But I'm sure some of the people on the boards have some good questions. Wiipower should ask crediar the questions he has, if he hasn't already.

    Since he is not going to release it, what difference would it make? There is some stuff i would like to know, like:
    What runs on which processor?
    Which hardware access do you have on which processor?
    Is it really running at GC speed?

    But no matter how much info he gives out, i'm nowhere near coding my GC usb loader, if anyone expects me to.

    Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that I expected you to make a USB loader. I just mentioned your name out of respect for your knowledge, since you are the first name that comes to mind when I think of gamecube development.

    I'm no coder, but I do follow your posts, since I know they are always informative - so I suggested your name because you would know the questions that would lead to the most useful information. So however much info is given, I appreciate the hard work that you and all the other coders do for us average users.

    i believe the only way to handle direct HW access in GC mode is to handle exceptions. So, every access to HW register (in supposedly real Wii mode) will trigger DSI (or whatever) exception. Exception handler will execute proper code according to accessed address and return back to original GC code.

    Generally speaking it's not hard to accomplish if you know GC HW well enough. And it won't require ARM code at all. Just bare PPC code using Wii IOS access.

    I thought about making GC emulator on Wii some time ago, but after i've got WODE it became useless. I can play every GC game now from USB. What else can be desired? [​IMG]

    yeah I know that, I was also making an GC USB ISO loader since it's easy as we all know but I got a WODE instead so well no sense in making one right?
