oh, hey, didn't think someone downloaded it. I thought it was gone! :D
I need a continuation to this. It left on a cliffhanger
It's derrek. No.
Yeah, that's what I'm worried about...
34c3 anyone? It wouldn't be the first time someone not known for releasing anything has released a shitload of info on CCC and someone turned it into a working exploit. Here's hoping, I guess.

maybe even a remake, then. :creep:

EDIT: or just a remake. after reading it again, I realised this wasn't really a cliffhanger, you can't really build on that.

This aint no game man! These people have lives too! He cant risk getting his life fuked up by lawyers and Nintendo coming after his as*..

You realize how serious this can be? Take a look at GeoHotz.. a fine example

Too many dumb idiots don't realize that and it won't be the end of it either.

Sounds like @derrek is planning to bug bounty when/if he achieves code execution though so I wouldn't get massively hyped about any of this work. Hopefully @SciresM can achieve a similar level and release a piracy free end product.

Sad days! the Switch's future is looking very bleak! I really hope these guys are just posting for the nostalgic feel and wont release anything to the public... well not for a good few years, lets say!

This just in: We've got the Windows kernel. C:\Windows\System32\NTOSKRNL.EXE

Welp, looks like Windows is a dead operating system.
Don't go to your funny farm..just yet! Windows is needed by most PC's that are booted up for business purposes there is always money to be made in Windows no matter what format its put in, the Switch is a different line altogether! Quite sad by the way..

What's quite sad is you missing the point.

The Windows kernel has been publicly readable since 1985. It's still around, and people are still writing Windows software.

Windows is an Operating System for all kinds of purposes, the Switch is a basic gaming system, the two are very very different! a kernel release for Windows OS is a lot different than releasing a kernel access for the Nintendo Switch, why do you think hacking consoles kills most of them off, why do you think the WiiU and Wii were pretty much dead on its feet after it was hacked to death publicly. Plus, please don't try and tell me how to cook an egg, if you know nothing about me!

3DS is wide open and is it dead? No.
The 3DS is quite dead! You haven't seen an influx of really great titles being released for the 3DS for along time now apart from a few limited Nintendo 1st Party titles thrown in, just to keep it a float. Great 3rd Party titles have been dead for a while now..
