The one I obtained is 17.3GB not sure if all copies are the same.
Last night I did it again and got 8.8 GB and the patch folder wasn't installed, but a bunch of movies were.

I hate to spam, but has anyone found a fix for the problem where DDD freezes when it encounters the dt00 file when dumping Smash 4?

Or does anyone just have the dump of Smash 4 that they would be willing to put up for download?

Are there any settings I can change that would speed up the transfer rate? I just started ripping my first game, Mario Kart 8, and it's only transferring at 250 KB/s.

Is it possible to dump DLC from a game you don't have ? For exemple, I'm playing Hyrule Warriors on Loadiine and I'd like to buy the DLC. But do I need to Launch the real Hyrule Warriors (not from loadiine) to dump my DLC ? or is there another solution ?

No you need to own the game just as you you need to own the the DLC. The dev pretty much made it this way to make harder entry point for piracy. The only way to use someone else DLC is if they share it

Unfortunatly for them, piracy still exists and this feature (dumping DLCs without owning the game) if even possible would at least have made me buy HW's DLCs rather than nothing

Hi,
I don't fully understand your response ?
1.How can someone share is DLC ?
2.The DLC is not linked to a Wii U ?

Well if you can dump a game it can be shared, it should be no different with DLC

Yeah the problem with any hacking scene is that that the devs will always try to keep their innocence of saying their apps/tools are not for piracy, but even so the original purpose may not target piracy usage their tools can be treated as a bridge to pirating possibilities. Not everybody shares the same mindset or goal as they do. The only true way to prevent piracy is to not create exploiting tools which allows us to. Eitherway Wii U DLC sharing will become a thing eventually, 3DS on CFW is already experiencing that now

It's probably worth mentioning in the OP's usage guide that the Wii U's Auto Power-Down feature will shut off your Wii U in the middle of a dump if it is enabled. It interfered with a large dump I was doing yesterday and it took me a minute to figure out what had gone wrong.

I own Mario cart 8 and bought all DLC. shortly after my wii quit reading my disks. dirty disk or invalid disc is all I get. dirty or broken lens maybe. But can I get my DLC with out being able to read a disk? Disks are old fashion. 10 games that we couldn't play till now.

Thanks for reporting this.
I'll tell to disable auto-shutdown feature first.

From what i understood, no, you can't. You need to start the game (from the disk) to start your DLCs dump.
I was personnaly going to buy the Hyrule warriors DLCs, but since I don't own the game and can't dump them, i won't.

I bought all DLC before I knew this myself and after seeing the official site they are bringing Linkle to the Wii U version this summer and more DLC are yet to come the following Winter for both Wii U/3DS. So its safe to say the game is worth the buy if you can find one at a low price $35-$45 range

For the life of me I can't get my Mass Effect 3 to dump. It acts as if ddd is not there.
Even more interesting is that when I go back to miimaker to access ddd it runs miimaker as if ddd has been cleared from memory

In example one, the example command line reads "titledumper.exe /vol/content "E:/WiiU/ISO/Lego City/"" when it should read "titledumper.exe /vol/code "E:/WiiU/ISO/Lego City/""

I think someone should probably fix that
