First released back in 2017 on PC and Xbox One, Cuphead makes a surprise debut on the PS4 today. Studio MDHR, the game's developers, made the announcement during today's Summer Games Fest stream.

During the stream, Studio MDHR also revealed that there is an upcoming free update for the Xbox One version that will add a digital art gallery, behind-the-scenes commentary features, and playable soundtrack to the game. They also confirmed that they are working on the The Delicious Last Course expansion but did not provide a release window.

Great game. Took me 13 hours to beat every level, so a bit short, but I can't really blame them for that given how much work goes into animating every single frame by hand. Plus the price has always been reasonable.

Isn't this one of those insanely difficult games that makes you want to break or throw your controller? Never understood the fun in that.

I wish they'd have released the Switch and PS4 versions simultaneously, as I get they wanted it to be an Xbox exclusive for a bit, but I see no point to delaying the PS4 release.
