Hacking Confirmed -- R4i Gold .cn version works with 3DS 2.0.0-2

I can confirm that the R4i Gold (.cn version) with Spongebob Squarepants icon boots up on 3DS 2.0.0-2.


I have the card without the green "3DS" text on the label, and it still works.


So, if your card does not work, just run the 1.4.2 update again, and I guess it should do the trick.

Mine doesn't work with the new update. I'll try upgrading again.

Edit: I ran the update again, but I still get the error when I start the cart.

There are two updates. One for 3DS cards and one for the older non-3DS card.

That's exactly the one I have. And mine is the older model without the "3DS" on the front. I used the "non-3DS" update but still nothing.

I worked perfectly with my 3DS until the update.

I'm not sure why yours is different to mine...

You could try emailing the manufacturer.

Tried the 3DS update, said "no upgrading needed"

Guess I should invest on a new flashcart...

R4i SDHC is not the same flashcart as the R4i Gold, so no it won't. (Why do people keep failing to understand this?!)
You'll just have to keep checking this website for any updates, as I believe that is the website for your flashcart.

Tried to update with the patch that had been put on http://www.r4ids.cn/r4i-download-e.html
but that said my version didn't need updating.

I then emailed back and forth with r4ids.cn and they said I could use the V142C_Patch_R4iGOLD_NDSi.nds version,
which I did. And now it works!

Where did you find the V142C patch? The one on the site is V142B.
