I don't know if this belongs here or in the devolution thread, so I'll just start here. I'm using cfg 70mod51 to run gamecube games with devolution, but I can't seem to figure out how to get multi-disc games to switch discs.
my files are stored as such: <sd root>/games/<game folder>/game.iso
<sd root>/games/<same game folder>/disc2.iso

When I get to a point that I need to swap discs, I press the eject button, but all that happens is I'm told I need to put in disc 2.

I'm not sure how CFG deals with it. That looks like the right file names for it to be switched properly with DML but unless CFG tells it otherwise (and I'm not sure if it does) devolution would look for disc2 in
<sd root>/games/<any name>.iso
and can detect which disk image is the right one for which game despite the name as long as it's directly in the /games folder like that.

Putting Disc2 into the games folder seems to have done the trick. It's not pretty and screws up my organization, but at least it works.

Hey,
I'm sure this questions been asked and answered in the 876 pages of this thread, but I don't know how to go about looking it up. I've googled it but had no luck.

I have a SD card with a Fat32 [[Primary, Active]] & WBSF [[Primary, Inactive]] partitions. I just started using C.USBLoader and heard that it will read games out of my wbsf folder on my Fat32 partition. Well, the only backups that it's reading are the two on my WBSF partition; is there any way to fix this issue? Thanks in advance, and sorry if it's been answered

are the games on your FAT partition in .wbfs format?

yes sir. I asked this question at another place too and got a couple of suggestions. I think that I'm going to check cfg's settings to look in another partition, and if that don't work then I'm just going to reformat the whole card to Fat32 and re-add my apps & wbsf folder (my card's already backed up). I've had an error reading the card lately so it may be a partition messed up. Thanks for the reply and if you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear 'em.

I need help, guys.

I came onto this thread: http://gwht.wikidot.com/usb-loader

From it, I went in an installing spree in this order:

http://gwht.wikidot.com/ios236

http://gwht.wikidot.com/d2x

http://gwht.wikidot.com/hermes-ios222-223

http://gwht.wikidot.com/dios-mios

And then had the Settings on CFG on DLM into DM.

I tried loading SSBM and I get a green screen after DIOS MIOS' splash. Any idea of why this could be happening?

I also tried the DIOS MIOS Booter (DML_booter_SVN_r30_HBC_Pack.7z. Link: http://code.google.com/p/dios-mios-booter/downloads/list) and had the same green screen.

Just in case you made the same typo on your HDD as you did here on your posts, it's WBFS and not WBSF. If you named your folder or the file extensions of the games with the wrong one it MIGHT be why they're not showing up.

As a suggestion, if you want everything named and formatted right, I personally always use Wii Backup Manager to "transfer" the games to my FAT32 drive. That way I know it's being copied into the right place with the right names and the right format and everything.

I've got CFG running fine from my SD card. My question is, why is a USB drive necessary to start up CFG? My USB drive is completely blank, and yet if I remove it from the Wii and try to start CFG it says "can't find USB". It's set to mount the SD card first, and it does as long as there's a USB drive connected, but I'd like to be able to take the USB out and still have it work.

Adding to this. I recently tried F-Zero GX, these are the results:

Game loads. Comes up to the intro, but it's no receiving the GC Controller inputs, so it stays showing the intro video asking to "Press Start".

EDIT: So... After failing with F-Zero GX, I put Melee again... Suddenly, it works! And then I tried F-Zero GX again and... It also worked! The hell?

I searched the thread and couldn't find an answer to this. I just set up the loader but my Wiimote Plus (Wii remote with built-in Motion Plus) doesn't work with it. It works fine in the Homebrew Channel but then doesn't work after starting the loader. Did anyone get this to work?

Hey people,
Problem solved! I opened CFG and went to the options - I selected SD card and everything worked great! Since then, I've added a USB HDD and everything is smooth as can be.

Sorry for the typo - I didn't know what wbfs stood for at the time of posting; my ignorance shining bright! Everything was labeled fine, just my options menu wasn't set up properly.

Once agian, thanks for all the help, guys!

Hi, um, I tried putting a gamecube iso file into usb root/games/game.iso and in usb root/games/gamefolder/game.iso and CFG doesn't list the gamecube game at all.
I'm on the latest CFG mod release, and I have dios mios installed, is there something else I'm missing like a config.txt setting or something? Thanks.

---------Edit 1------------

So, yeah, I was skipping the step of using discex. D'oh. Yeah, I'm a noob.

Well now the game lists in CFG loader, but when I try to run it, I get just a black screen. The blue light around the disc drive does flash, it does a double flash, pauses, double flash, pauses, but nothing ever happens.

Any advice on what I'm doing wrong?

---------Edit 2------------

Figured it out. My hard drive in my usb enclosure is an old-fashioned IDE drive, and it was in "cable select" mode on the jumpers. For some reason DM didn't appreciate that. I changed it to "master" on the jumpers, and now the game loads up fine :)

Help

I am trying to run Guitar Hero III in CFG Usb Loader r70, using IOS 222 [37] or IOS 223 [37-38] (Both downloaded via modmii) but the game don't load, and give me this error:

ERROR: Setting up fragments 0 3
ID Mismatch [RGHE52] []
ERROR: IefVIFS: -3
Press any button to exit

The screen turn green with glitches, and back to the homebrew channel

Works fine with IOS 249 but why not with 222 or 223?

Also, if i try to launch the same game in wiiflow using ios 222 or 223 works fine
But why i can't launch this in CFG usb loader? Shoud i try CFG usb loader mod 51? Is this stable like the original? I don't want to bug or brick my wii

I'm transfering all my wad games/virtual consoles/arcade from usb loader gx to Cfg loader on my Emunand and the problem I have is that some games where working fine on usb loader gx but won't even show up on Cfg...one specific title not showing is 1942.wad.
anybody knows why it is not seen by Cfg loader ?

Every time I try to load a game with this USB loader, it freezes after it states IOS Reload: Blocked and I have to power down my console manually. Is there any possible fix for this issue?

Edit: I am on v70r51, the latest and greatest.

To all that have CFG problems related to GC games and emunand stuff, CFG loader has not been updated for a while, try the latest CFG mod instead, else use a different loader.

PS: this might also help with problems related to loading Wii games, but most likely cIOS needs to be reinstalled, the game image has been damaged, or the USB device needs to be checked for errors.

PS2: Leo Alves, you can't brick a wii by installing a cIOS or with using a USB loader.
