I don't believe that is making much difference to my particular problem, which is the Wii not detecting the drive at all (or am I mistaken?), but it's good to know that I can test another drive with just a FAT32 partition.
About free space, it doesn't freeze, just takes very long timedmcbudman said:first post about this app so first i wanted to say thanks, its great
but 2 bugs i found....

in the read me file you should find everything, for examplepdawg17 said:Is there an edit I can add that will make Config USB Loader default to the game list instead of the "game case" view?
pdawg17, that goes into config.txt. Check out the Configurator (found in the InSDRoot/USB-Loader folder of Cfg v48 release or click the link in my sig) for help on changing that and other options.Vattu said:in the read me file you should find everything, for examplepdawg17 said:Is there an edit I can add that will make Config USB Loader default to the game list instead of the "game case" view?
# gui = [1], 0, start
# Enable or disable GUI mode.
# Using gui = start will start directly in GUI mode when loader is started.
so my guess is that you want it to be "gui = 1"

(or online update)
Changes:
* Games in subdirs on FAT: /wbfs/GAMEID_TITLE/GAMEID.wbfs
Let me add that I have only briefly tested it, and the last 5 changes are not tested at all. So, happy bug hunting

It's so worth it. I just picked up the WD Elements Portable 500 GB for only $60 but that was a Black Friday deal. I recommend this over the new WD Passport Essential. The Elements is just a little bigger in physical size (12% in volume) but the new Essential has this Virtual CD software that takes up space and a partition. There's no way to remove it as of yet. However, you can still find the older Essential on Amazon which doesn't have that. Try searching for that model number in particular. The new one has a different one.Shiaoran said:So I think I'll move from disks to USB loading...
What do you guys recommend, external HDDs?
I think a 500GB external HDD would be perfect, right?
Which brand? Those tiny Western Digital ones seem nice and cheap.
