Ok please try v65b3 if it works any better.
It should detect 250 and 223 correctly now, but I'm not sure about modmii.
I think modmii will be detected only if installed in slot 249, I'm not sure.
The base detection is fixed now, only modmiis cios from slot 250 will be detected as waninkokos cios, but that's no problem. The problem with the original waninkokos cios in slot 250 is fixed, great work
yaywii.gif

edit: I could also give you the hashes from modmii cios slot 250, then the detection would be perfect!

I suspect modmii will not be detected also for other slots like 245-248 (does modmii support that?)
But I'd like you to try something:

http://cfg-loader.googlecode.com/files/cfg65t1.dol

save debug.log and then look inside at the end of file for something like:

and post it or send it to me, and tell me which slots are modmii...

Will do it now, modmii only support slot 249 and 250, here is every slot 250 from modmii in a normal ios hash list if nothing works now:

FIX94:

Thanks for all the input, I'm beginning to see a pattern here.
All modmii hashes start with 0x00.
And I can see from your debug.log that the fakesign used by wanin and hermes doesn't match the one used by modmii.
I think modmii fake signing works by finding a hash that starts with 0 on the whole TMD, while hermes and wanin hashes only the TMD payload.
I think I can use this info to detect modmii instead of all the modmii tables.

My HDD (WD Elements 2TB) sometimes stops to work when returning to the loader (return_to_channel = UCXF) from a game. It is still "on" (the activity LED is constantly ON) but there's no activity (= blinking LED). The loader also fails to wake it up and I have to shut down the Wii (which also shuts down the HDD), wait a few seconds and start it up again.
I'm using Waninkokos cIOS rev20b (Base38 IIRC) - may that be the reason? Should this be fixed using Hermes cIOS?
I don't know, try it and let us know.
FYI: I tried the loader for several days with Hermes cIOS 222 as default and the issue didn't appear again.

NOW I'm interested, I hope you can finally fix it! I hope this is enough, or do you need more?
That's enough, thanks.
Ok i changed the method for modmii detection in v64b4
but i think i the fix is not complete... i'll have to make another beta,...

Correct, the bases for slot 223 and 224 are the same and slot 222 only have one base.
Ok we're all set then.

It seems to work fine.
Should I add another menu entry to print this instead of it being bound to the + button?

I've saved all the combinations but seems you already worked out that, the only one I found not showing the correct legend was hermes v4 in slot 223 (they show all as base 38) so here it goes:

Which cfg version did you try?
Can you try v64b4 if it detects hermes v4 properly?
Thanks for the table!
And no i don't need 202.

Defenetly, this update destroyed IOS222,223 and 249 detection completely (now showing ?? again) but the 224 and 250 detection works now. I only tested modmii versions, I will try official versions now.
edit: hermes official v4 is showing fine (also in slot 223), the merged thing are displayed correctly now. I will try out waninkokos official cios.
edit2: OK official waninkokos cios detection also works fine, only modmiis cios detection doesn't work properly.

Thanks for the assistance!
Btw is the hybrid modmii rev21+rev19 detected properly too?
I will help again if needed, no problem

Yes, I tested this cios at first because it's finally fixing this controller lag for me!

What do I have to do for creating the rev21+rev19 hybrid with Modmii?

Is using the EHCI.app from "W19Modules" in "W21Modules" while creating a rev21 cIOSx with Modmii enough?

Edit:

Tried the new ModMii 4.4.5Beta and did some tests:

cIOS249[56]-v21[EHCI-v19].wad and cIOS249[56]-v21.wad (using the EHCI.app from "W19Modules" in "W21Modules" while creating) gives me the same hashes for both files, so they are identical. With this you should be able to create cIOS249[57]-v21.wad that is basiclly a cIOS249[57]-v21[EHCI-v19].wad.

Edit2:

I installed the cIOS249[57]-v21[EHCI-v19].wad (mentioned above). No issues so far. Some lags I had with the default one from ciosx installer on Sports Resort are gone now.

Its not so important but maybe the modmii cios detection info for that frankenbuild cios will be added too, sometimes.

Been a lurker for a long time now, just wondering about two things.

For some reason, any theme that I use if it goes over 10 pages, then list of games gets pushed up one line, it's kinda hard to explain, I will try and take screenshots of what I mean.

Also, is it possible to hide the title of the game in the gui form of cfg? Thanks!

EDIT:
I also installed the cIOS249[57]-v21[EHCI-v19].wad and have absolutely no issues with lagging.

Can I make you a question? did you find any difference in using cIOS249[57]-v21[EHCI-v19] than just using a plain rev19 base 57 install?

EDIT:
QUOTE(psnider85 @ Jan 23 2011, 10:36 PM) Also, is it possible to hide the title of the game in the gui form of cfg? Thanks!
There's this excelent tutorial about the CFG's options: http://gwht.wikidot.com/configurable-options
hope it helps!

EDIT2: don't know if you already worked this out
if you don't, you can put this in your config.txt / theme.txt:
gui_text_color = 00000000
gui_text_outline = 00000000
gui_text_shadow = 00000000
gui_text2_color = 00000000
gui_text2_outline = 00000000
gui_text2_shadow = 00000000
it makes all games titles transparent in the gui mode (the first 3 ones for the "grid" modes, the last ones for the "flow" modes)

    Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

    @Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.
