Ok. I may just be a noob... but even if that is the case this app is not completely "noob friendly". I followed the 4.3 Softmod guide on WiiHacks which installs v58 of USBLoader. Worked flawlessly. I tried updating a few times now with problems every time. It seems every time I update all my game covers no longer show up. And if I try to re-download them USBLoader crashes my Wii. The other day someone suggested that v60 release worked fine and I should download it and just copy over the boot.dol file and meta.xml. That worked fine. Today I tried updating to the new v64 release. It seemed to work fine, so I installed it on 3 of my drives. This evening I tried to play a game and found that IOS250 was no longer working. Tried all 3 drives in 2 Wii's with the same crash. And I noticed when I loaded CFG that it no longer showed "v60... 249...250...[FRAG]". It stopped at 249. So I had to drop back to version 58, and re-copy over the boot.dol and meta.xml from ver60 release. Maybe that isn't the right way to do this, but it's what works. Any ideas? Like I said, I am a noob. So sorry if I'm just being an idiot. I am just trying to learn how to use the full potential of this program. Thanks for a great app!

Trying CFG with hermes cios 222 r4 base 38 merged 37, saved debug.log to check the difference in loading time and found this in ioshash.txt:

Code:
# CFG 64-222 Sun Jan 23 02:30:45 2011
IOS222 r4 Base: ??
{0xb72b71cd, 0xf42b2730, 0x3b9a4f2c, 0x41128ef9, 0x26f6dbcc},
If it is helpfull, I can load CFG with all the different release/slot combinations of hermes cios and post the results here, just tell me

The IOSes from ModMii are not added jet, only ModMii's r21.
I will test and post it for r20 and eventually for r19 now
yaywii.gif
Wouldn't a more proper way be to fix modmii to create identical hash?

I agree, Modmii should create the same hashes and use the same base IOS versions as Waninkoko and Hermes use.
The only difference is the the beta one XFlak created yesterday:

# CFG 65b Sun Jan 23 09:00:44 2011
IOS249 r21 Base: ??
{0x00dc1209, 0x944c39db, 0x59eec2ab, 0x0212b86c, 0x7076cd3b},

It is Waninkoko's IOS249 rev 21 Base 56 with the rev19 EHCI module. This fixed all my harddrive/wiimote problems because of the missing "Watchdog".

The print cIOS function is really handy - do you think you could add the Hermes cIOS Slots, too?
Yes I can add that but someone will need to provide all the tmd hashes
smile.gif

I would need hermes cios versions 4, 5 and 5.1 installed with different bases into slot 222.
kamiro posted one such hash, more are needed.

Only slot 222? Hermes installer will install the other bases to 223 or 224, I can post everything, but if you need everything from slot 222 should I use showmiiwads to change everything to 222?

edit: Here is the list from hermes IOS222 v4 (nothing changed, everything installed to slot 222)

Ah right, newer hermes cios, install specific bases to specific slots.
That's ok in that case give me the hashes for other slots.

I guess not, so with v5 and v5.1 to slot 224 can go all bases that you have listed for slot 223?
While slot 222 goes only one base?
Correct, the bases for slot 223 and 224 are the same and slot 222 only have one base.

It seems to work fine.
Should I add another menu entry to print this instead of it being bound to the + button?

It seems to work fine.
Should I add another menu entry to print this instead of it being bound to the + button?
Looks good! I think another menu entry would be much better!
I will check now if hermes IOS from modmii is also different, I will post my results then.
edit: well, different again

What's the difference between ModMii's cIOS and installing by cIOS installer from hbc?

Sorry if its a stupid question just curious.

The internal hashes are different, the functions are the same, I have no idea why the hashes are different because the cIOS modules are the same... That's simply a small thing, nothing important.

For some reason 65b2 is not showing my IOS250 correctly. It should be showing Base: 57 rev21 (r21), but is showing instead Base: ?? (r21). It was installed through Wanin's official installer, so shouldn't be anything strange with it. It is picking up IOS249 base 56 properly, which was installed through the same method. Looks like everything else (other slots/bases) are showing correctly.

I did try removing and reinstalling IOS250 base 57 again (through the official installer) just to be sure, but no change. CFG still shows ??.

Seems like the base detection doesn't work properly... It's detecting 38+37 in slot 222 fine, but it doesn't detect the same base in slot 223. It's also saying that I have base 57 rev21 in slot 250, but it's base 57 r21 modmii, so something doesn't work correctly.

Ok please try v65b3 if it works any better.
It should detect 250 and 223 correctly now, but I'm not sure about modmii.
I think modmii will be detected only if installed in slot 249, I'm not sure.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.
