usb loader not loading games

im a beginner at hacking and i did watch a video on how to hack the wii (homebrew) but i have been encountering some problems with loading my games from usbloadergx, could it be from the cIos or do i need to use a different usb? i tried to format my drive from my laptop to wbfs but it doesnt seem to work since i'm using a mac os. my usb is a 3.0 external drive so, should i be using a 2.0 or 2.5 hdd? sorry if my all questions sound dumb

I got huge dataloss on my Wii because I followed a video guide and even risked a BRICK!

It might be your HDD the easy and cheap way to get it to work is to take your hard drive out of the enclosure its in and put it in this i have used this enclosure on like 7 Wii consoles ive modded and any hard drive i put in it works flawlessly. https://www.ebay.com/itm/275939372011
