How is adding GC controller support save you batteries ?
You would still need Wiimote to play your games.

any chance of having a built in mp3 player?

yeah i know Configurable is designed for usb games loading but having a music mode will be a nice added features.

imagine you can pick albums in a carousel GUI just like iphone/ipod.

If you enable music to play is there anyway to turn it off or change the song?
in config.txt add this:
music=0

Or just don't have any MP3s in your usb-loader directory. You can't change the song manually.

It plays MP3s already, albeit randomly. There's not plans for any more than that.

cfg v45a (alpha)

http://sharebee.com/d3645a8d
(or online update)

* Multiple WBFS partitions support (from uLoader)
* Print game size, dual-layer and wbfs free space in install screen
* Save gamelist.txt when saving settings in global options screen
* option: home = hbc will exit to Homebrew Channel (thanks to giantpune)
(similar to home = exit, but might work better with forwarders)
* Stability fixes:
- Corrupted cover images should no longer crash the loader
- Fixed hdd spin down/up at startup for some drive models (since v43, tnx Narolez)
- Don't print error if opening.bnr not found
- mp3 playing stability fixes (fixes stuttering and slowdowns in rare occasions)
- fixed the few notes of music between banner sound and game start
- minor cleanups
* Added CIOS related warning notices: (thanks Clipper)
- CIOS249 rev13 : unsupported "return to menu" to exit game
- CIOS249 rev14 : unsupported dual layer (start, install)
- CIOS249 : unsupported multiple WBFS
- CIOS222 : unsupported SDHC WBFS
* New intro screen (by Milcoi)

The new Partition menu...

Absolutely needs to be protected somehow. Option to lock it out in config.txt like other similar options, and/or by the key-pressing "password".

Format an delete filesystem, painful if the kids do that ;P

You could add:
cIOS before rev13: need a disc in the drive
cIOS before rev14: possible 001 error source on new games(Wii Fit Plus) [i think Hermes introduced proper 001 handling on rev4, but better test that yourself]
cIOS before rev9: no usb support
cIOS before rev10: no sd/sdhc support

Whoops, I see i have mistakenly broken the disable_format option, will be fixed.

Thanks, seems pretty complete, I'll add some of that too!

In the last several releases, there is a little delay while entering the option menu. This seems to be very minor, but is quite unpleasant because sometimes I may think that I have not successfully pressed the button so that I press it again. I wonder if this can be "fixed" as I know that the loader needs time to read info (e.g. alt dol) from the game iso. However, at least, it is good to implement some kind indications as soon as the option button is pressed.

Many thanks !!!

You're right, it's searching alt.dol.
I will change it to print game info first to make it feel more responsive.

Hi Oggzee,

a couple of easy ideas for next version...

up to now the default configuration is:

# cover_url_full =
# cover_url_full =+ http://wiitdb.com/wiitdb/artwork/coverfull/{CC}/{ID6}.png
# cover_url_full =+ http://wiicover.gateflorida.com/sites/defa...0Cover/{ID}.png
# cover_url_full =+ http://www.muntrue.nl/covers/ALL/512/340/fullcover/{ID6}.png
#
# download_id_len = [4], 6
#
# download_cc_pal = [AUTO], EN, FR, DE, AU, ...

1) first of all, it could be better to have 6 as the default for download_id_len (6 digits are more useful expecially for localized covers) and to have as a default the following cover_url setting:

# cover_url_full =
# cover_url_full =+ http://wiitdb.com/wiitdb/artwork/coverfullHQ/{CC}/{ID6}.png
# cover_url_full =+ http://wiitdb.com/wiitdb/artwork/coverfull/{CC}/{ID6}.png
# cover_url_full =+ http://wiicover.gateflorida.com/sites/defa...0Cover/{ID}.png
# cover_url_full =+ http://www.muntrue.nl/covers/ALL/512/340/fullcover/{ID6}.png

This could also be done implicitly, in the sense that a path cover_url_full =+ http://wiitdb.com/wiitdb/artwork/coverfull/{CC}/{ID6}.png could mean by itself that the HQ coverfull is searched first and that the standard coverfull is downloaded just in the case the HQ one is missing

2) another idea is the following:
If 1) above is applied, in the case a localized HQ fullcover is missing then the EN HQ fullcover is preferred to a localized standard fullcover.
Actually, somebody could prefer localized standard fullcover to EN HQ fullcover
I now solved this problem with the following configuration:
# cover_url_full =
# cover_url_full =+ http://wiitdb.com/wiitdb/artwork/coverfullHQ/IT/{ID6}.png
# cover_url_full =+ http://wiitdb.com/wiitdb/artwork/coverfull/IT/{ID6}.png
# cover_url_full =+ http://wiitdb.com/wiitdb/artwork/coverfullHQ/{CC}/{ID6}.png
# cover_url_full =+ http://wiitdb.com/wiitdb/artwork/coverfull/{CC}/{ID6}.png

Unfortunately, this workaround requires 6 acceses to WiiTDB in the case there is just an EN standard coverfull on WiiTDB...
Is it possible to add a new variable (like download_localized_pal) that gives priority to localized coverfullHQ and standard coverfull with respect to their EN versions?

Thanks a lot for your attention and your big job....

1) There is no point in changing the default to download HQ covers yet. The difference in quality is minor using the current display methods. When there is a need for HQ covers (e.g., usptactical's planned cover zooming), then I'm sure oggzee will change the defaults.

As for the default value of download_id_len, you might get your wish. oggzee was considering changing that the other day.

2) You could reduce the accesses to the exact order you want by just changing the "{CC}" in the 3rd and 4th options to "EN", or setting "download_cc_pal = EN" so that {CC} only decodes to EN.

If this whole thing was to be simplified, the best way is likely to add a new {HQ} tag. This would expand to "HQ" and then nothing and could have higher priority than the {CC} tag so that you get localised non-HQ before HQ like you suggest. If you want the other order (HQ if it is present before localised), then this can be done the same way we do it now.

Hmm, I'm not sure exactly what are you trying to say, but maybe this is the option that you need:

# download_cc_pal = [AUTO], EN, FR, DE, AU, ...
# The code is used as a replacement for {CC} tag for PAL regions.
# If AUTO is specified, then the code is set depending on the console
# country - if Australia: AU, Brasil: PT else, console language is used.
# If image is not found with the specified cc code, download is
# retried with EN code.

So I guess, setting:

download_cc_pal = IT

should do the trick?
although, AUTO should set it to IT if your wii console language is set to Italian...

Or maybe I misunderstood the question?

EDIT: allright, clipper beat me once again in replying and his post makes much more sense, so, just disregard this one

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.
