Not sure why, but on the latest release (40 release, not the beta) I can't seem to download any covers. All I get is 'domain unresolved' but when I downgrade to any previous version, the updating works fine, minus the occasional 404 or invalid png errors.

Im getting the same issue with the 40 build? Are the URL'S wrong or something?

This is probably an incompatibility problem between your Wii, the game and your TV. It might be fixable via settings on the Wii and your TV, though. Is your Wii PAL or NTSC? How about your TV? What cables are you using? What display mode (480i,576i,480p) are you using for the Wii settings?

Works fine for me, although WiiTDB is currently done for maintenance. Perhaps it is a default URL issue. Try using this in config.txt and see if it solves the problem:

Sorry if this has been addressed before, but at 200 pages, I can't read this whole thread...
I just started using this loader last week. I have to admit...the video in the first post sold me on it. It's great! Thanks for the hard work.
I have an issue with most GUI styles tho. Flow and one or two others work fine. But if I flip through other GUI styles and use them, within seconds I get a freeze, sometimes with a horizontal green band across the screen for a second, then get booted out to the Homebrew Channel.
Brought my HDD and SD card to try on a buddy's Wii, same problem.
Using W.'s rev 10. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Please more details...
Which version do you use? The latest v40?
Can you try different versions and see if the problem is with a specific version or always?
How many games? Using mp3 background music?
Can you try with the latest cios rev14?

Currently using 39c. I will update to 40 when I get home tomorrow (I work on the road). The problem was present on 38 as well. I currently have 99 games on a Comstar 320GB HDD. I haven't loaded any mp3s on the SD card yet. I will also try cIOS rev 14 tomorrow. I've tried changing the skin as well...all the included ones plus a couple extras with no luck.

Updated to 40 (release), installed cIOS38 rev 14, redownloaded all the covers, and still no luck. Only difference is I don't seem to get the freeze with the green band anymore...I just get a clean kick-out to the HBC.

Any other suggestions? Would it be helpful if I posted a video showing what's happening?

Did you also try with a different SD card?

I think the theme side of the Configurator is now complete. I fixed a handful of bugs and made sure it now handles all the default values for all the options (at least I think I got them all). Download it again if you already did so as I just uploaded the new version. It now has a clickable coordinates wizard for those that asked for it. Here's some screenshots of what's done so far for those to lazy to try it out for themselves:

The cover_coords is wrongly put by the Wizard.

Sorry for the double post, but the first somewhat complete version of my Cfg Loader Configurator is finished.

Download it here.

It's the same link as before, so accept any overwrite prompts if you downloaded it earlier.

All options are in, but there are probably some bugs as I've done very little troubleshooting. Please let me know if you find any bugs and I'll fix them tomorrow. I also plan to add functions to read an existing config.txt and theme.txt, and might even add something to draw the console, cover and text onto the background for a preview mode.

Could you please give some more information? What exactly is failing?

1. Select Top-Left Cover Corner.
2. Select Bottom-Right Cover Corner.
3. Set 4:3 options.

Check the result.

Seems to work fine for me.
Note that, in the main page the coordinates are expressed as x,y,w,h, where w and h stand for width and height
while in the coords wizard the coordinates are x1,y1, x2,y2. So w = x2-x1, h = y2-y1
Is that what confused you?

I found that the covers_coords is not copied from the "Select Top-Left Cover Corner", but is copied from the "Select Top-Left Console Corner" instead.

Is there a reason for the configuration in the configurable usb loader application to be so unconfigurable?
An application like this shouldn't be needed imo.

Nice work though.

Indeed it was. Now I see what you were saying and the bug is fixed. Let me know if you find anything else.

Thanks a lot !!!

I found that in Global Options (page 3), the options at the right hand side does not work properly like all others. (Just clicking on it and you will find out).

Yep, seems like it deleted some of my event handlers when I cut and paste those options from one tab form to another. It's fixed now. There was also a bug in the way I wrote the gui colours which I also fixed.

An idea, oggzee:

Sorting by game genre could easily be implemented like favorites, except the the game type info could be coded and saved in the titles.txt. Categories like sports, adventure, puzzles, etc. could also each have their own graphic icons like the star used for the favorites. Pressing 2 would scroll first to favorites, then through the game genres.

I'm also looking forward to you adding multiple partitions. Not sure if it's possible, but having seemless partitions (i.e. have all games across multiple partitions appear at once in USB Loader without having to switch back and forth between the partitions) would be great.

Obviously, these two features would be especially great for large collections.

Thanks and keep up the good work.

I have to admit that I thought USB Loader GX is way to go but THATS THE STUFF!!!

CFG USB Loader is the ticket! Easy to use, not so buggy like GX, MH 3 working like a charm, no probs at all.

Thanks for this!

BTW, anyone knows when WiiTTB will be up again?

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.
